Calgary Regional Trail Riders

PLEASE NOTE:  next general meeting is planned for September 28th, 2021.  We will meet in the lobby at the Okotoks Ag Society at 7 pm.

The purpose of the Calgary Regional Trail Riders Club (CRTR) is to increase enjoyment, improve safety and further educate its members in relation to equine activities. To this end, CRTR activities will include but not be limited to: organizing day and weekend rides; organizing the entry and participation of members as a group in parades; and sponsoring and promoting participation in horse-related seminars and conferences. In order to make a contribution to the general community, the CRTR may undertake fund raising activities for one or more registered charities.

September 6, 2021.

Upcoming clinics include Jim Anderson coaching horsemanship and obstacles, and a cow sorting clinic at O'Reilly's O'Rena.

In addition, our social activities include some gymkhanas and we hope that by Christmas time we can gather for a Christmas party.

Parades are on hold for this year with the cancellation of the formal Calgary Stampede parade, and the cancellation of other small town parades.

Our casino dates are December 15 and 16 at Cash Casino, Calgary.

The club generally plans to meet at 7:00 PM on the last Tuesday of the month, January, March, May, and September at the Equi-Plex Lounge at Spruce Meadows.  At Spruce Meadows, the closest parking lot is parking lot 7 indicated on the map below. On the last Tuesday in November, generally, the AGM is held at an announced location.  Please inquire about the next meeting by emailing to: to confirm meeting date and location.  Show up any time and see what we are about! We are a non-profit, breed independent club. Everyone is welcome to join the club!
