Calgary Regional Trail Riders

Our club has something for everyone! Some of our many club activities include:

Social events such as the spring kick off party, the fall wind up party, and of course the Christmas party! The spring party might find us line dancing at a club, the fall party usually finds us barbecuing outdoors, and the Christmas party is in a banquet room.

Day rides often find us in the Kananaskis riding trails at West Bragg Creek, Little Elbow, Sandy McNabb and many other beautiful locations.  Rides are sometimes as short as three to four hours, but you should plan on bringing your lunch and spending the day!

Weekend rides are a hit with the club!  We have planned camps at locations in southern (and sometimes more northerly) Alberta.

Parades are something we can brag about! The highlight is the Stampede Parade, but we also have appeared in High River, Black Diamond, Okotoks, Airdrie, Cochrane and Canmore.

Educational seminars are also a big part of our club.  We strive to provide seminars that promote safety in all areas of horsemanship, and offer our members a variety of learning opportunities in the areas of roping, cowboy challenge, western dressage, reining, working equitation, cow work, jumping, and several horsemanship clinics for all levels given by well respected clinicians.  These vary from year to year depending on member feedback.

Gymkhana days and Cowboy Challenge Fun days are held regularly at various facilities for the convenience of our members from different areas around Calgary, to provide fun, and horsemanship improvement.
